High-stiffness rear case for YZ-4

This replacement rear transmission case is made for the 4WD off-road YZ-4 chassis. Molded from a graphite-containing resin, the housing provides improved structural rigidity over standard plastic parts while remaining suitable for hobby-level models.

The unit uses separate left and right halves in a sealed layout to reduce dust and small-stone ingress, helping to preserve spur and pinion engagement and extend the service life of running gear. The split design also allows straightforward access for inspection and routine servicing in workshop environments.

On a setup level the component performs two practical roles: it shields gears under off-road conditions and its increased stiffness can slightly change drivetrain flex compared with more compliant housings, enabling fine adjustment of rear-end response on YZ-4 cars.

Compatibility

  • Supported Chassis: B-YZ4

This rear transmission case is specified for the YZ-4 rear gearbox area and lists compatibility with the B-YZ4 chassis variant. Confirm chassis code before ordering to ensure fit.
The graphite-containing resin increases rigidity versus typical plastic housings, which helps resist deformation under load and can improve resistance to wear around gear bearings and shafts.
Yes. The left and right sealed halves protect the internals during use but can be separated for inspection and maintenance, making routine gearbox servicing straightforward for hobbyists.
