YZ-2 gearbox support and front bulkhead mounting

This Z2-018M2A part is the gearbox support and front bulkhead mount originally supplied on the YZ-2DTMW range. The updated profile differs from earlier supports and is intended to affect rear chassis roll characteristics on 1/10 on-road touring cars.

As a direct replacement or spare for RC models, the component secures the gearbox and front bulkhead assembly while also acting as a tuning item. Altering the support geometry changes how loads transfer through the rear of the chassis during cornering, which helps technicians refine the balance between front grip and rear rotation.

Installation notes: the unit replaces the factory support on compatible YZ-2 variants and interfaces with the existing front bulkhead. No modification to the main chassis is required beyond removal and refit of the original support, and any handling changes should be confirmed via incremental test laps.

Expect a greater tendency for rear roll under cornering compared with earlier support shapes; this can encourage easier rear-end rotation. Make small setup changes and re-evaluate on track.
No. The part installs in place of the factory support and uses the existing front bulkhead fastenings. Standard removal and refit are all that is required.
Minor suspension adjustments can help compensate for increased rear roll. Try small damping or spring rate changes and test step by step to find the right balance.
