Hex head king pin for precision steering

This aftermarket king pin fits Yokomo YRX12/R12/GT family knuckles as a direct replacement for the stock pivot pin. It uses a hex socket button head that accepts a 1.5mm hex wrench for tightening, improving service speed when swapping or adjusting front end parts.

The R12-14S is manufactured with a longer overall length than the stock pin to allow the fixing nut to be fully engaged even when a spacer is fitted under the knuckle (spacer R12-14C?420 sold separately), which helps maintain secure clamping after ride-height or caster adjustments.

Intended role: this part is a low-cost tuning and maintenance item to improve fastening reliability at the knuckle during setup changes, not a load-bearing redesign. Install with a clean mating surface and the correct 1.5mm hex driver, tighten until snug and avoid excessive torque to prevent thread damage.

No modification is required. The R12-14S is intended as a straight replacement for the listed YRX12/R12/GT series knuckles and uses the same mounting points as the original pivot pin.
Use a 1.5mm hex wrench or hex driver to tighten the hex socket button head. Apply steady hand torque and stop when the joint is snug to avoid thread damage.
The extra length ensures the securing nut can reach full engagement when a spacer is used or after ride-height changes, helping the knuckle clamp remain reliable during setup adjustments.
