The Yokomo YOKYF14SH hard spring is an RC-scale replacement spring manufactured to suit the YRF001 kingpin suspension arrangement. It provides a direct upgrade to increase spring rate where a firmer response is needed without swapping shock bodies or pistons.

Fitment and installation are simple: compress the spring onto the shock shaft in place of the current spring, ensure it sits correctly on the spring perch, and check preload and travel clearance before use. Fit identical springs to left and right corners for balance, and consider adjusting shock oil or pistons if you need finer control.

Tuning effect: this harder-rate spring reduces body roll and tightens steering response at medium to high cornering loads, making it useful on higher-grip surfaces or to counter a softer chassis balance. Monitor tire wear and steering feel after installation to refine settings.
