Wider front rim option for YRF 001W

Sold as a pair, this RC front wheel set is specifically made to fit the YRF 001W Wide chassis. It is suitable as a direct replacement or an upgrade when a broader front tyre footprint is required to alter steering behaviour and initial turn-in on scale touring car layouts.

Compatibility is limited to the listed chassis model: confirm the YRF 001W Wide chassis wheel mounting system before attempting installation. The wheels install using the existing front hubs and retained hardware on the chassis; after fitting, inspect wheel runout and tighten wheel nuts to the chassis manufacturer's recommended torque.

From a tuning perspective, a wider front wheel increases contact at the tyre edge, which can modify initial turn-in and mid-corner steering feel. Use these wheels alongside front toe and suspension adjustments to achieve the desired steering balance, and re-check camber and alignment under static load after any change.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
These wheels are specified for the YRF 001W Wide chassis only. If you want to try them on a different model, measure hub diameter and offset to confirm fitment before installing.
Wider rims change how a tyre seats and its profile. Choose tyres rated for the wider rim width and test-fit them on the wheel to ensure correct seating and no rubbing prior to running.
After fitting, revisit front toe and camber settings, evaluate low-speed turn-in and mid-corner balance, and adjust front spring or damper settings if needed to restore the desired handling balance.
