YZ-2CAL3.1 long main chassis summary

This is an RC-scale hard main chassis built for the YZ-2CAL3.1 family. The long-version layout increases wheelbase compared with the standard CAL3 main chassis to give a more stable platform at speed. The top surface is specified as a high-grip finish to alter tire loading characteristics and feedback during cornering.

Intended use focuses on on-track car control and chassis balance tuning rather than basic replacement; the part changes how the chassis reacts to suspension and weight transfer adjustments. Installation requires basic chassis disassembly to swap the stock main plate, and the chassis remains compatible with the YZ-2CAL3.1-related mounting points listed below.

Choose this main chassis when you want a firmer baseline for high-traction surfaces and a longer wheelbase to stabilize straight-line speed and mid-corner balance; pair it with incremental suspension and anti-roll changes to dial in the best setup for your track.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
No major chassis surgery is normally required. The long main plate uses the YZ-2CAL3.1-compatible mounting pattern; remove the original plate, transfer any hardware as needed, and refit using the same holes unless you find a mismatch for non-standard accessories.
Expect increased directional stability and reduced twitch at speed. Turn-in will feel a touch slower, so plan to rebalance using anti-roll bars and suspension rates to recover mid-corner bite.
Standard YZ-2CAL3.1 chassis screws and spacers are intended for use. Retain original hardware where possible; if a screw or spacer is damaged or missing, refer to the vehicle parts list for the correct replacement sizes.
Start with small steps: reduce front anti-roll stiffness or soften the front springs to regain sharper turn-in, then tweak toe and camber to restore optimal tire contact under the new wheelbase and grip conditions.
