Precision silicone damping for setup control

This Yokomo YS-800 Super Blend Shock Oil #800 is formulated as a silicone-based damping fluid intended for use in RC-scale shock absorbers. It lets you alter damping speed and rebound characteristics by selecting the correct viscosity grade during rebuilds or tuning sessions.

Compatibility targets common hobby silicone dampers and threaded shock cartridges found across many electric and nitro RC kits. This item is an aftermarket suspension fluid and does not include shock hardware or fittings.

When servicing shocks, drain the old oil, clean internals, then refill slowly to reduce trapped air. Cycle the piston to bleed bubbles, verify piston holes and O-rings are seated, and reassemble with the correct springs before road testing. Make incremental viscosity changes rather than large jumps; #800 is a heavier grade that increases damping relative to lighter oils.

Yokomo designed the Super Blend series to hold stable viscosity through a range of operating temperatures and deliver repeatable behaviour across practice runs, suited to drivers who need predictable suspension response during setup work.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The #800 label denotes an 800-grade viscosity within the Super Blend range. Higher-number oils flow more slowly through damping orifices, increasing resistance and slowing both compression and rebound compared with lower grades.
Empty the old fluid, clean pistons and cylinders, then fill gradually to avoid air. Pump the piston several times to purge bubbles, check seals, then reassemble and test on the bench before running.
Yes. Mixing grades adjusts effective damping. Blend in small increments and record ratios so you can reproduce preferred setups; large mixes can produce unpredictable results.
