Front Shock Body Overview

This is an RC-scale front shock body supplied as a direct replacement or spare for front damper assemblies on off-road models. The part houses internal shock components and sets the oil capacity and travel available to the front suspension.

Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with damper servicing: drain the shock oil, remove the shaft and internals, withdraw the old body, and install the YS-4S-8 body before rebuilding. During reassembly check seal seating and alignment of the shaft to prevent leaks or binding.

For setup work the body controls usable oil volume and stroke limits, so changing bodies will influence damping feel and response. Pair it with matching pistons, springs, and oil viscosities to achieve your desired front-end balance on loose or hard-packed layouts.
