This Yokomo YX-03 is a graphite upper brace produced as an aftermarket component for 1/12 competition models, explicitly matched to the YR-X12 chassis. It is presented as a direct replacement or upgrade for the stock upper brace area, maintaining compatibility with the YR-X12 attachment points.

Functionally the part increases upper-structure rigidity to change the chassis' torsional behaviour. In practice this helps fine-tune weight transfer and steering feel at the limits without altering suspension geometry, so adjustments to shocks or anti-roll settings remain the primary tuning steps.

Installation is carried out using the existing mounting locations on the YR-X12 chassis; the brace fastens to the same points as the original upper brace and does not require modification to the chassis. Check existing fasteners for wear and confirm alignment before final tightening to avoid preload on the assembly.
