Soft Silicon O Rings for RC Dampers

The Yokomo YOKYS7S Silicon O Ring (Soft) 8pcs are replacement soft O-ring seals made for small-scale RC damper and shock assemblies. Each pack supplies eight soft silicon rings designed to give a compliant seal where reduced friction and smoother piston movement are desired.

These O rings are intended as direct replacement sealing elements inside shocks or on piston shafts that accept O-ring style seals. The 8pcs count suits keeping a spare set for routine maintenance or for service of multiple small dampers.

Fitting is simple for hobbyists experienced with shock servicing: remove the shock cap or end, extract the old O ring, clean the seating surfaces and any lubricant residue, then seat the new soft O ring into its groove before reassembly. No specialty tools are required beyond standard shock service tools and a tidy workspace.

In practice, swapping to softer O rings alters low-travel friction and can change initial damper feel and small-amplitude response. Use the soft YOKYS7S rings when you want a freer return or to replace hardened seals to restore smooth action.

Carry a pack of these O rings in your maintenance kit to preserve consistent damper performance and prevent leaks during regular servicing.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Start by disassembling the shock cap or end, remove the old seal, clean the groove and mating surfaces, lightly lubricate with a shock-safe lubricant, and press the new soft O ring into place ensuring it sits flat before reassembly.
They are designed for O-ring style seals common in small-scale dampers, but you should check the O-ring cross section and groove width against the replacement part to confirm fit before final installation.
No special tools are necessary; typical shock service tools and a clean, well-lit work surface are sufficient to change O rings safely and accurately.
Replace them when you observe hardening, cracking, permanent deformation, or increased leakage. Frequency depends on use and exposure to dirt and oils; inspect O rings during routine shock servicing.
