This small rubber O-ring serves as a down stop in RC damper and shock assemblies, delivering a controlled cushion at the end of compression travel. It is designed for scale RC use where an O-ring style stop limits or softens piston or shaft bottoming.
Fitting is simple on most shock designs: slide the O-ring onto the shock shaft or place it on the lower seating area according to your damper layout, then cycle the suspension to set the desired down-stop feel. Confirm shaft diameter and clearance before final assembly since designs vary.
When tuning, the O-ring alters bottoming sensation and enables fine adjustments to rebound and compression response when combined with spring and oil changes. Replace the ring if the rubber shows cracking, flattening, or permanent deformation to maintain consistent performance.
