Silicone Shock Fluid for Dampers

The Yokomo YOKYS300 Super Blend Shock Oil #300 is a silicone-based fluid formulated for RC-scale shock absorbers and suspension components. It is supplied as a tuning fluid to change damping behavior in model cars, and is sold only as a hobby part for scale vehicles.

Compatibility is broad rather than chassis-specific: use this oil in any RC shock cartridge or threaded shock body that accepts silicone shock fluids. Do not assume identical fitment between brands; consult your shock manual for recommended oil grades before making changes.

Service is straightforward for those familiar with shock maintenance: drain the old oil, inspect seals and pistons for wear, then refill and bleed the shock according to the design. Make small adjustments when testing; even modest shifts in oil weight or air volume can change damping noticeably. The product grade "#300" is provided as a selection guide relative to other weights.

In tuning terms, shock oil influences compression and rebound damping as part of the whole suspension setup together with springs, pistons, and preload. Use Yokomo YOKYS300 to refine body roll and weight transfer on a buggy or touring car, and confirm changes on a test run rather than relying on numbers alone. Keep the bottle sealed in a cool, dry place and avoid contaminating the fluid with dirt or solvents.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The "#300" in the product name denotes the manufacturer's grade for comparing shock oils; generally, a higher grade corresponds to thicker silicone that increases damping resistance, while a lower grade reduces it.
Work over a tray to catch spills, clean the shock exterior first, replace any worn seals, fill and bleed slowly to avoid trapped air, and run incremental tests on-track after small oil adjustments.
