Long shock spring for touring car tuning

This Yokomo YOKYS15675L long-type shock spring is an RC-scale component made for touring car shock assemblies, offered in purple and supplied as 1pr. The supplied detail from the product name and notes specifies a 1.5mm wire diameter with a 6.75 winding count, which determines its spring behaviour compared with other springs in a tuner's kit.

Use it as a drop-in replacement where long springs are required, or as part of a tuning progression to change suspension stiffness and response. As with any spring swap, assess ride height and spring preload after installation, and compare corner behaviour on a familiar track section to determine whether the spring achieves the desired roll and traction characteristics.

Installation notes: fit the spring concentrically on the shock shaft, seat it fully on the spring perch, and check for bind or lateral movement through the suspension travel. When testing, change only one variable at a time so you can attribute handling differences to the spring itself rather than concurrent setup changes.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It is designed for touring car shock assemblies that accept long springs; check your shock length and spring perch diameter to confirm fit before buying.
The 1.5mm wire and 6.75 windings define the spring's geometry and effective rate, usually producing a firmer feel than thinner or fewer-turn springs and influencing progression through compression.
Recheck ride height and spring preload, run a few short laps to judge balance, and only alter one setup item at a time so you can isolate the spring's effect.
