Precision titanium ball end for fine linkages

The Yokomo YOKRP-101SHS is a precision titanium ball end made as a replacement and tuning item for scale R/C linkages. It is aimed at small-scale applications where precise steering and suspension adjustments are required, and it is not intended for use on full-size vehicles.

The part uses titanium for a favorable strength-to-weight profile and good corrosion resistance compared with many common steels. The short 4.8mm neck combined with the 11.5mm ball seating describe the geometry that determines clearance and travel in tight linkage layouts. These sizing details are listed in the model identifier to help match existing rods and rod ends.

Installation is straightforward when the thread and ball seat sizes match: insert the ball end into the linkage or rod end and secure following your usual hardware practice, then cycle the steering and suspension through full travel to confirm there is no binding. When tuning, replace one end at a time and observe handling changes before altering additional links.

Maintenance is basic: inspect the ball seat and threads periodically and clean after dusty or wet runs to maintain fit. Apply thread-lock or torque to values appropriate for your servo and chassis manufacturers.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Verify that your linkage accepts a 4.8mm short-neck ball end and that the 11.5mm ball diameter clears adjacent components. Measure the thread pitch and length on your rod before installing.
Tighten the ball end securely without over-torquing, check full steering and suspension travel for binding, and if needed use a compatible thread-lock for vibration resistance.
Inspect the ball seat and threaded area after several runs or if you notice increased play. Replace if wear compromises fit or movement.
