1/10 On-Road Soft Spring Overview

The Yokomo YOKR12-37SS X Shock Soft Spring is an RC-scale coil spring for standard shock assemblies on 1/10 electric touring and on-road models. It offers a softer baseline than medium or hard springs, making it useful when you want increased compliance and better traction on lower-grip circuits.

As a general-purpose soft spring, it influences ride height, weight transfer and transient response while leaving other shock hardware unchanged. Installers typically fit these springs into their existing shock bodies and retain the same shock oil and pistons to judge the net handling effect. Because spring rate and preload interact, expect to adjust collars or spacers to recover ride height after installation.

The design is kept intentionally broad: the spring is compatible with common RC shock assemblies that accept standard-length coil springs. Measure your shock travel and retainer clearances to confirm fit before long sessions. Use the springs as part of stepwise setup changes and note alterations to steering bite and mid-corner grip.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They fit most standard-length 1/10 on-road shock assemblies that use coil springs. Always check spring length against internal shock travel and top/bottom retainers before fitting.
Measure free length and compare to your shock's travel and retainer positions. Fit the spring and cycle the suspension to ensure there is no binding or excessive preload required to reach desired ride height.
Keep the same oil and piston when comparing springs, document ride height and preload changes, and test on a controlled surface so you can isolate the spring's effect on handling.
