Accurate 64-Pitch Pinion Gear

The Yokomo YOKPG6429 is a 64 pitch, 29-tooth precision pinion intended for R/C scale use and drivetrain tuning. It is built to integrate with 64 pitch gear trains as a replacement or tuning choice when altering gear ratios on electric R/C models.

Installation begins by matching the pinion bore to your motor shaft and securing it with the motor's existing fastening method, such as a set screw or clamp-style mount. Confirm shaft fit before final assembly and check the mesh with the spur gear, adjusting motor position or adding shims until engagement is even and free of binding.

Swapping to this 29T pinion changes your overall gear ratio compared with other tooth counts and will affect acceleration response and top speed. Make incremental changes and perform test runs to find the best balance for your setup.

Routine checks after the first runs should include verifying the pinion is tight, confirming correct mesh, and inspecting mating teeth for any unusual wear; replacing a pinion is a common part of regular R/C maintenance.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
First, ensure your motor supports 64 pitch pinions and that the shaft diameter matches the pinion bore. Then fasten using your motor's existing retention method.
Moving to 29T alters the gear ratio relative to your spur gear, which typically shifts the tradeoff between acceleration and top speed. Make small adjustments and test after each change.
Set correct mesh spacing, tighten the pinion securely, and recheck after a short run. Loose fit or incorrect mesh alignment are frequent causes of early wear.
