Precise 48P 27T Pinion for Reliable Drive Mesh

This 48 pitch, 27-tooth precision pinion is made for RC motor drive systems where tooth accuracy and wear resistance are critical. The ultra-hard steel treatment improves durability under frequent engagements while remaining suited to 1/10 scale on-road and touring gear setups that use 48 pitch parts.

Compatibility and installation: designed for 48 pitch gear trains; verify motor shaft diameter and keying before fitting. For correct mesh, start with a paper-thin feel between teeth, rotate the drivetrain to seat the gears, then tighten the pinion fastener while keeping the mesh. Inspect for endplay and re-tighten after a short test run.

Tuning notes: changing the pinion tooth count shifts acceleration and top speed within your existing motor and ESC. Smaller tooth counts favour acceleration while larger counts favour top speed; make incremental changes and log results to tune for track conditions and motor temperatures.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Start with a paper-thin feel between pinion and spur, rotate the drivetrain to seat the teeth, then secure the pinion screw while maintaining the mesh. Recheck and retighten after a short run.
It fits 48 pitch systems commonly used on many 1/10 on-road and touring cars, but confirm your spur gear pitch and motor shaft size before installing.
A small hex driver or pinion wrench, feeler shim or thin paper for mesh setting, and a torque-appropriate driver for the set screw are recommended.
