48-Pitch Pinion Built for Accurate Ratios

The Yokomo YOKPG4825 is a precision 48-pitch pinion gear made for RC-scale drivetrains that require 48-pitch compatibility. Its 25-tooth count and ultra-hard tooth finish prioritise wear resistance and steady mesh during repeated tuning cycles; it serves well as a direct replacement or spare for models running standard 48-pitch systems.

In use, the pinion determines the motor-to-spur ratio and has a direct effect on acceleration, top speed, and motor loading. During installation, confirm minimal backlash for reliable engagement, keep the motor mount and gearbox faces parallel, and ensure the pinion seats fully on the motor shaft before tightening the fastener.

For tuning work, select the YOKPG4825 when a durable 25T option is needed for fine ratio steps. Match it with the correct spur gear and set mesh carefully; routine checks for burrs or chips and light spur-tooth lubrication will extend life while preserving engagement precision.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Verify the motor shaft diameter and any key or grub screw position before mounting, slide the pinion fully onto the shaft, then tighten while holding the mesh to the desired clearance.
Start with the smallest practical gap, rotate the gears to confirm smooth contact, then lock the motor mount in place; avoid aggressive filing that could ruin the hard tooth surface.
Inspect teeth regularly for wear or damage, clear debris from the mesh zone, and apply a light, gear-compatible lubricant sparingly to the spur interface when required.
