These Yokomo YOKD170BL soft blue springs use a 1.1 x 10.5 turns profile to change slide characteristics and steering feel in standard drift setups for 1/10 scale models. Supplied as a pair, they are intended for conventional drift shock assemblies where subtle spring rate changes matter.

Installation is straightforward: fit the springs over the shock shaft or into the spring cup following your shock manufacturer's orientation, lock them with the correct preload collar, and verify full travel to avoid binding. Ensure the spring seats squarely and the shaft is free from burrs before final assembly.

On-track tuning: the softer spring rate increases slip and smooths transitions between drift angles, reducing abrupt snap-back. Adjust preload in small increments and match tyre compound and ride height to balance front and rear response for predictable slides.
