High-Viscosity Silicone for RC Dampers

Yokomo YOKCS50000 Super Blend Silicone Oil #50000 30cc is a 30cc bottle of high-viscosity silicone oil intended for use in radio-controlled model shock absorbers and damping assemblies. As an RC-scale accessory, it provides a single, defined damping grade (50000) that builders and tuners use to alter compression and rebound behavior without changing mechanical parts.

The blend is positioned for damping adjustments where increased resistance is required; thicker oil increases damping force and slows spring return in a predictable way. Use it when you need firmer compression or reduced rebound speed to stabilise chassis movement during acceleration, cornering, or on rough surfaces common in club and competition layouts.

Installation and handling are straightforward: use the oil to refill or top up shock bodies following your chassis maintenance routine, bleed air from the damper as usual, and measure changes on test runs before locking in other setup changes. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dry place and keep the cap tightly closed to avoid contamination.

Compatibility is general rather than model-specific, intended for RC shock absorbers and damper units that accept silicone-based fluids; always check your shock manufacturer's recommended viscosity range before swapping fluids.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
A 50000 grade produces notably stronger damping resistance and a slower rebound compared with lower grades, which helps control weight transfer and reduce chassis oscillation.
Volume depends on the shock design and internal length; refer to the shock or chassis manual and fill to the recommended level, then test to confirm expected travel and damping feel.
You can blend viscosities, but the result alters damping in ways that are not linear. Trial mixes should be tested incrementally and documented to reproduce a preferred setup.
