Yokomo Y2-003AZA rear upper deck adaptor for precise YD-2Z tuning

The Yokomo Y2-003AZA Aluminum Rear Upper Deck Adaptor is built to refine the behaviour of YD-2Z series chassis. Replacing the stock upper deck mount, the adaptor links the upper deck to the rear brace in a way that lowers roll rigidity. The result is a chassis that sheds torsional stress and delivers more predictable handling for drivers focused on setup and balance.

Control Flex and Rear Load

This adaptor removes the central connection to the main chassis, increasing lateral and torsional flexibility while letting you tweak weight distribution. On compatible main chassis types you can remove the rear brace entirely and move the battery further back. That rearward weight shift boosts rear load and can improve traction and stability when pushing speed through corners.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Installation is straightforward for someone used to YD-2Z setups. It replaces the standard upper deck mount and uses the existing rear brace connection points, so basic tools and time are all you need.
No special electronics are required. The adaptor changes chassis flex and balance only, so your existing motor, ESC and servo can be retained unless you want to tune gearing or power delivery to match new handling traits.
Shifting the battery toward the rear increases rear axle load and traction, which often helps corner exit and rear-end stability. Exact gains depend on track surface and overall setup, so test incremental moves to find the sweet spot.
