YZ-4 Heavy Duty Main Shaft

This is a replacement steel main shaft made for the YZ-4 4WD off-road buggy platform. It functions as the rotating backbone of the drivetrain where straightness and strength influence power delivery and drivetrain behaviour.

Manufactured from hardened steel, this component is intended as a direct replacement for the stock shaft. Its purpose is straightforward: keep gearbox output aligned with the wheel assemblies, resist bending under load, and provide a secure mount for couplings and bearings.

Installation notes: check mating bearings and hubs for wear before fitting, confirm axial seating and free rotation, and replace any damaged circlips or bearings to prevent premature failure. While setting up, support the chassis off the ground and spin the assembly to detect any wobble before running.
