Ultra-high viscosity diff oil for RC

The Yokomo RP-08515KA Racing Performer Ultra diff oil #15000 is a silicone-based fluid created for gear differentials in electric RC cars and similar scale models, designed to deliver steady damping and reliable lubrication when drivetrain loads rise.

With modern brushless setups and high-capacity LiPo packs increasing torque and rpm, this high-viscosity oil helps preserve an oil film inside the diff so behaviour stays consistent from the opening laps through to the end of an event, reducing erratic oil migration.

Fitting follows standard silicone-diff practice: drain the old fluid, clean the internals and bearings thoroughly, then refill to the level advised by your diff case maker. Expect #15000 to give a firmer, more locked feel compared with lighter oils, so compensate with spring rates, tyre choice, and driving inputs to reach the handling balance you want.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
This oil is intended for gear-type differentials that accept silicone diff fluids; it provides high-viscosity damping rather than working with ball diffs that rely on mechanical friction alone.
Expect stronger wheel coupling, improved straight-line traction and less inside-wheel spin, which typically tightens turn-in and shifts mid-corner balance toward understeer unless chassis setup is adjusted.
Drain and inspect the diff, clean gears and bearings, then add oil while rotating the gears to purge trapped air. Verify seals and bearings are dry before sealing to prevent contamination or leaks.
