Secure E-clip for X-shock Pistons

This Yokomo R12-37E E-clip is an RC retention part used to lock the piston on Yokomo X-shock assemblies. The pack contains 10 pcs of 1.5mm E-clips intended where a small external circlip is needed to retain shafts or pistons inside shock bodies.

Made for normal maintenance and shock servicing, these E-clips act as a simple mechanical stop to hold piston or shaft position without changing damping or spring settings. They are common service items replaced during shock rebuilds or when swapping pistons.

How do I fit the 1.5mm E-clip to the X-shock piston?

Place the piston on a stable surface, align the groove, then use small flat-nose or snap-ring pliers to spread and seat the 1.5mm E-clip into the groove without overbending. Work slowly to avoid deforming the clip.

Will swapping E-clips affect damping performance?

No. The E-clip only retains the piston or shaft position; it does not alter the internal damping valving or spring preload. Ensure clips sit fully in the groove to prevent axial play.
