Left-side aluminum motor mount for BD9

This aluminum motor mount is made as a replacement chassis part for BD9 2019 setups. The unit fastens to the left side of the center bulkhead to even out chassis stiffness when used alongside the stock motor mount position. Its design aims to offer measured changes in torsional response without altering major suspension geometry.

Technically the mount is intended for tuning chassis balance. Moving the motor attachment to the left center bulkhead helps match left-right stiffness and can affect turn-in and mid-corner behaviour on touring car circuits. Installation is a hardware swap at chassis level and does not change suspension pickup points.

As an aluminum chassis accessory, the mount suits builders seeking a controlled method to match left-right rigidity on BD9-based touring cars; always check motor alignment and spur/pinion mesh after fitting.

Fit the mount to the left side of the center bulkhead using the corresponding chassis holes. Use the existing bulkhead fasteners where possible and confirm alignment before final torque.
In most BD9 2019 builds the original screws will work. Inspect thread engagement and replace any worn fasteners; stainless or grade-matched hardware is recommended for repeatable rigidity.
No. The motor mount shifts the motor attachment point relative to the center bulkhead to adjust chassis stiffness, but suspension pickup points remain unchanged.
After fitting, verify motor alignment and gear mesh, and torque the bulkhead screws evenly to maintain the intended stiffness balance. Recheck mesh under running conditions.
