Lightweight graphite battery plate for YZ-2

The Yokomo Z2-118P2 graphite battery plate (ver.2) is an RC replacement plate made to secure the battery on the YZ-2 chassis. It is thinner and lighter than the earlier YZ-2 plate, aimed at trimming mass in the battery area while keeping the original chassis layout unchanged.

Compatibility and installation are simple: the plate accepts the standard YZ-2 battery position and uses the chassis' existing battery mounting points. Installers should reuse the original screws and brackets where applicable and check fit before final tightening to prevent stress on graphite edges.

From a tuning point of view the ver.2 graphite plate offers modest weight savings that can influence balance and handling. Racers choose it for small weight reductions and a slightly lower centre of mass while keeping standard battery placement for predictable handling changes.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Fit the plate into the stock battery location, align the existing mounting points, and hand-start the original screws. Verify alignment before fully tightening to avoid over-stressing the graphite edges.
Check the product listing for included hardware. Many listings supply the plate only, so be prepared to reuse the YZ-2's original screws and brackets if none are provided.
Expect only slight weight reduction at the battery area; handling changes are subtle but can help fine tuning by lowering the centre of mass and improving responsiveness.
