Improve wheel and steering rotation

This Yokomo D-148 bearing set is designed as a direct upgrade for assembled Drift Racer drift kits, replacing bushings or worn bearings in wheel hubs and steering support points. The set explains how bearings reduce rotational friction and help produce a steadier, more predictable slide during practice.

Installation is straightforward for model-level work: remove existing retainers in the front and rear hubs and the steering support, press the matching bearings into place, and reassemble with the original hardware. Use light grease intended for metal bearings only where axial play must be damped, and avoid over-torquing hub fasteners which can preload the bearings and increase rolling resistance.

Tuning note: swapping to full metal bearings like the D-148 set reduces slop in wheel rotation and improves steering return feel, assisting consistent throttle-to-angle transitions for drifting. Bearings change free-rolling characteristics and driver feedback rather than suspension geometry or motor output.

Packing includes

  • 8 pcs 6x10mm bearings for front and rear hubs
  • 4 pcs 4x8mm bearings for steering support
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Remove wheel hubs and steering components, extract old bushings or bearings, press the D-148 bearings into the matching bores, then reassemble using original hardware and check for free spin without binding.
They are standard metal bearings; apply a small amount of light bearing grease only if you want to damp axial play. Excess grease can attract dirt and affect rolling performance.
