The Yokomo YOKBDBTCS BD5 belt tension cam spring is an aftermarket replacement spring designed specifically for the BD5 belt tension cam assembly on 1/10 scale touring car setups. Its purpose is to supply a stable preload to the cam so the belt tension remains consistent and adjustments to drivetrain alignment become more repeatable.

Installation is straightforward: remove the belt tension cam from the BD5 assembly, swap the original spring for this unit, and reassemble while checking belt tension through the full suspension travel. Use incremental adjustments and test runs to confirm the cam returns reliably and the belt runs true without binding.

Tuning notes: this spring changes the cam return force and therefore how the belt reacts under load. Small changes in preload will affect drivetrain feel and noise, so alter settings in little steps and validate on-track. The spring is intended for RC-scale use only and should be handled with standard hobby tools.
