Stiff 4mm graphite rear shock tower for YD-4

This rear shock tower is engineered for the YD-4 touring platform. The 4mm graphite plate increases the rigidity of the rear shock mounting point, helping to keep shock movement consistent under load without changing internal damper settings.

Compatibility is limited to the listed chassis: YD-4 and DP-YD4MR. The tower is a structural, tuning-focused component that alters rear bulkhead stiffness and the way the rear suspension responds to driver inputs and track forces.

Installation is straightforward for standard YD-4 rear end assemblies: remove the stock tower, transfer any existing hardware and shock mounts, and fit the Y4-018 in the same mounting locations. Check screw threads and mating surfaces during fitment to make sure the tower sits flat and fasteners torque correctly.

The part does not alter internal damping, but the added stiffness can change suspension feel. Expect possible minor rebound or spring adjustments to tune handling.

Do I need special screws or spacers to fit it?

No special hardware is normally required. Use the standard YD-4 rear tower screws and shock mounts, unless your setup calls for different fastener lengths.
