Yokomo YD-4 Chamfered Front Upper Arm

This aluminum chamfered front upper A-arm is an optional scale accessory made for the YD-4 series of 1/10 electric RC touring cars. It replaces the factory plastic upper arm with a machined aluminum unit to improve fit at the mount and raise structural stiffness.

Supplied as left and right pieces, the arm accepts the existing YD-4 upper arm rod end and mount points. On track the upgrade reduces flex at the upper link, which tends to deliver crisper steering feedback and more consistent suspension action across repeated laps.

Specifications

  • Item: Chamfered front upper A-arm (left and right)
  • Material: Aluminum alloy

Remove the stock plastic upper arms and fit the Y4-008FUC left and right pieces using the original rod ends and mounting hardware. Check that the rod end threads seat fully and that the pivot bolts torque to the same specification as the original parts.
The arms are designed to accept the standard YD-4 rod end arrangement, so no special rod ends or spacers are normally required. Always verify clearance around adjacent suspension parts after fitting.
Yes. The kit includes distinct left and right arms to maintain correct geometry; install each piece in its matching position for proper steering alignment.
After fitting, cycle the suspension through its travel, check for interference with the shock tower or driveshafts, and confirm smooth pivot action. Make minor rod end adjustments if toe or camber changes unexpectedly.
