Replacement shock towers for YD-2S fitment

This is the Yokomo Y2-017SA front and rear shock tower set in plastic, designed as a direct replacement mounting plate for YD-2S scale drift chassis. It serves as an RC accessory to hold upper shock mounts and transmit loads between the suspension and the main chassis rails.

Installation notes: the towers use the chassis factory mounting points on YD-2S series cars and replace the original tower pieces without requiring modification to the shock absorbers themselves. Check alignment of the shock shafts and confirm mounting screws are torqued to the same setting as the stock parts. When fitting, observe shock shaft travel and clearance to avoid binding against the tower edges.

Tuning role: these shock towers provide the upper anchor points that influence camber change and roll centre behaviour, so they are useful when you want to alter leverage or move shock positions to refine roll and pitch responses during drift sessions or handling tests.

Compatibility: Supported Chassis DP-YD2S / DP-YD2SG / DP-YD2S-PL / DP-YD2SS / DP-YD2SX / DP-YD2SX2 / DP-YD2SX2R / DP-YD2SX2P / DP-YD2SX3 / DP-YD2SX3R / DP-YD2SX3P / DP-YD2RX / DP-YD2RXR / DP-YD2RXP / DP-YD2RXTB / DP-YD2RXTP / DP-YD2RXTR.

Yes. The Y2-017SA towers are made to mount to the standard YD-2S tower locations and are intended to replace the original front and rear tower pieces without modification to the chassis mounting points.
Inspect shock shaft alignment and full travel to ensure the shafts do not contact the tower edges. Tighten mounting screws to the same torque as the original towers and verify clearance before running.
Yes. Changing the upper shock anchor points alters camber gain and roll centre characteristics. Use the towers as one tuning variable alongside springs and shock positions to reach the desired handling balance.
