XRAY 371011 X1'17 Chassis Built for Traction

The XRAY 371011 X1'17 Aluminum Flex Chassis is CNC machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium and features precision cutouts that increase flexibility. It is intended for medium to high traction tracks and helps improve both traction and steering. For extremely high grip conditions, consider the alternative #371010 Aluminum Chassis.

Design Features Focused on Handling

This chassis has seen use with Team XRAY in competitive settings and is aimed at drivers who tune for edge grip. The chassis includes a two-position option for pod link mounting: the outer hole keeps the standard geometry while the inner hole accepts an angled pod link to sharpen in-corner steering. A forward position for the central mount plate supports the newer short shock layout to refine balance.

Fitment and Practical Notes

The part is compatible with the aluminium pod plate #371148 and is engineered to deliver predictable changes to handling. Due to the nature of 7075 T6 aluminium and the CNC process, slight longitudinal bending can appear; this is normal and does not impair on-track performance.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The chassis is tuned for medium to high traction surfaces where added flex helps contact patch and steering. For very high grip surfaces, the stiffer #371010 chassis is recommended.
Using the inner pod link position allows the pod link to sit at an angle, increasing steering bite mid-corner. The outer position keeps the stock feel for more neutral handling.
Minor longitudinal bending after CNC machining is common with aluminium 7075 T6 plates. This slight bow does not normally reduce performance and is part of the manufacturing process.
