Composite Steering Joints Built for the XB8

The XRAY 352666 Composite Relief Steering Ball Joint is a direct-fit component for the XB8 chassis. This kit contains two composite ball joints made to balance toughness and slight flex under load, giving consistent steering feedback during club and competitive runs. They are engineered for 6.8mm pivot balls or ball studs to ensure a snug fit and responsive steering travel.

Engineered for Precision and Wear Resistance

Made from a durable composite, these joints resist cracking while the relief profile helps cut friction at the contact surfaces. The design aims to deliver more consistent steering inputs and longer service life than generic parts. Use them as an upgrade or a like-for-like replacement to keep handling predictable.

Fitment Notes and Simple Installation

These steering ball joints are made to suit the XRAY XB8 chassis and install easily with standard hardware. They work with M5 turnbuckles and thread sizes used on the XB8 tie rods, making them a straightforward swap for hobbyists tuning steering geometry.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are designed for the XB8, but they may fit other arms that use 6.8mm pivot balls and the same M5 turnbuckle spacing. Always check dimensions before swapping.
Inspect for play and wear regularly, clean grit out after off-road use, and apply a light, compatible grease to the pivot ball area if needed to reduce binding.
Composite holds up well on many surfaces, but highly abrasive conditions will accelerate wear. Check joints after sessions on rough terrain and replace if excessive play develops.
