High precision ball studs for XB808 maintenance

The XRAY 352655 6.8mm Ball Stud with Backstop is built to match the requirements of the XRAY XB808 vintage series. Made from HUDY Spring Steel and heat treated for added toughness, these studs give consistent performance for hobbyists focused on restoring or maintaining classic XB chassis.

Strength and accuracy for older XB parts

This pair of ball studs is intended for users who expect dependable handling and long service life. HUDY Spring Steel construction resists deformation from repeated use, and the backstop keeps the stud seated during hard cornering and impacts so failures are less likely on track or at the club layout.

Simple install and parts compatibility

These studs integrate cleanly with older XB series components, making upgrades and routine maintenance straightforward. Their precise dimensions support a secure fit without extra modification, so you can swap them in during a service session and get back to tuning and running.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
These studs are sized for the XB808 vintage geometry and fit many older XB components. Check ball cup inner diameter and thread fit on later arms before fitting to confirm compatibility.
Use a small hex driver or wrench that matches the stud head, and tighten to a firm hand feel rather than high torque to avoid stressing surrounding composite parts. Thread lock is not usually required on steel studs in alloy or composite mounts.
The backstop limits axial movement of the stud and keeps the ball end from walking out of its cup, reducing the chance of sudden disengagement during heavy landings or aggressive driving.
