Steering Control Upgrade for XT9 - XRAY 352651

Racers wanting firmer steering response will appreciate the XRAY 352651 ball studs with backstop. Made from Hudy Spring Steel and matched to XT9 steering blocks, these studs focus on durability and dependable linkage retention.

V2 Ball Shape for Greater Downtravel

The V2 ball profile increases downtravel to help the steering stay predictable under load, giving smoother transitions through bumps and landings. The backstop feature locks the steering rod assembly in place so it stays connected during hard impacts.

Assembly Order and Best Practices

For reliable operation, fit the ball studs into the ball joints first, then attach the steering blocks. Following this sequence reduces the chance of pop-outs during big jumps and keeps alignment consistent on the track.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are optimised for XT9 geometry but can fit other models that use the same ball joint spacing; check your steering block clearance and thread size before fitting.
Inspect the backstop area for debris and confirm the stud is fully seated. Periodic cleaning and light application of a corrosion inhibitor will keep movement free.
A small hex driver or ball stud tool sized to the stud head is all that is needed; use a thread locker where specified and avoid over-tightening to maintain ball mobility.
