This plate is designed around current XB8 geometry; older or heavily modified XB8 bulkheads may need checks or small adjustments to mount correctly.

Do I need special linkages to use adjustable positions?

Standard XB8 linkages work fine, but moving the mounting hole will change Ackermann so expect to tweak rod lengths or servo horn position for ideal steering travel.

How should I look after the aluminium plate?

Keep contact surfaces clean, periodically check screws for tightness and inspect for wear after heavy use; light anti-seize on threads helps prevent galling.
