XRAY 351122 XT9 Performance Chassis Overview

The XRAY 351122 XT9 Aluminum Chassis is a precision component engineered to lift the handling and durability of XT9 series models. Constructed from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum and finished at 3mm with a hardcoat, it balances strength with reduced mass for track-focused performance.

Weight-Saving Machining

CNC work removes material from low-stress zones to trim grams without weakening key areas. Material is selectively taken away beneath the engine, fuel tank and differentials to lower the centre of gravity and sharpen balance through cornering.

Low-Profile Underside

All mounting holes are countersunk so screw heads sit flush, delivering a clean underside that resists snags and aids smooth airflow. The tidy bottom also lowers the risk of damage when running at speed.

Durable Hardcoat Finish

XRAY's robotic hardcoating gives the chassis a tough surface that stands up to racing wear. Minor hairline cracks can appear around openings or edges from material tension but do not impair structural function or reliability.

Installation follows the standard XT9 chassis mounting points and uses factory hardware in most cases. Basic tools and moderate model-building experience are recommended for a clean fit.
Keep the chassis free of grit and clean with mild soap and water. Avoid aggressive solvents that could affect the hardcoat and inspect mounting holes periodically for any loosening.
Yes, the lower centre of gravity and reduced weight help on high traction surfaces, though you may need to tune suspension and tyre choice to suit track conditions.
