Chassis upgrade for sharper XB8E'16 handling

The XRAY 351111 XB8E'16 Aluminum Chassis is a precision upgrade that tightens handling without adding unnecessary mass. Machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum, it finds a balance between stiffness and lightness to improve steering feel and corner stability.

Front to rear balance for improved steering

The updated layout narrows the front for quicker steering response and widens the rear to boost exit stability. Reducing the overall length by 4mm shifts weight forward to refine turn-in, while the layout of the engine, radio box, fuel tank, and center differential maintains predictable behaviour through varied track sections.

CNC finish and protective anodise

The 3mm chassis plate is CNC cut to exacting tolerances to minimise stress risers while preserving structural rigidity. An anodised surface finish improves wear resistance and helps lower overall weight, aiding a reduced centre of gravity and tuned chassis flex.

Fitment notes and required parts

For correct installation use the #351159 XB8 Composite Chassis Side Guards L+R. Keep in mind that small surface cracks can appear around high-tension areas after hardcoating on Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum; these are cosmetic and do not reduce service life.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Small cracks that appear after hardcoating on Swiss 7075 T6 are usually superficial and do not affect structural integrity or performance under normal use.
A slight longitudinal twist can be normal from machining and stress relief; minor adjustment may be needed during setup but serious bends are uncommon.
You may want to tweak spring rates and toe to match the chassis balance change. Small setup tweaks typically yield the best handling improvements.
