CNC-Machined Steel Segments Built for Racing Durability

XRAY's 325123 active differential segments are produced from hardened steel with exact CNC tolerances. Each segment uses a 60 degree V ramp pattern to ensure predictable engagement and release, and is laser marked with "60°" for quick identification. Supplied as a matched pair, these segments are designed to withstand frequent use while delivering consistent performance on slippery tracks.

Balance Between Traction and Responsiveness

The 60 degree geometry is tuned to give firmer behaviour when throttle is applied and freer action when off-power, creating a controlled transfer of drive that helps maintain cornering stability. This behaviour makes the segments useful for racers tuning handling on low traction surfaces.

Specifications

  • Material: Hardened Steel
  • Angle: 60°
  • Compatibility: XB2/XT2/SCX, XB4/XT4 Front/Rear, XB4/XT4 Center
  • Quantity: Set of 2

For hobbyists focused on predictable differential feel in reduced grip conditions, the XRAY 325123 segments are a straightforward upgrade that balances durability with on-track performance.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
These segments fit the XRAY XB2, XT2 and SCX models and are also compatible with XB4 and XT4 front, rear and centre differentials as listed in the specifications.
Basic differential disassembly tools are sufficient: small hex drivers, a clean workspace and light diff grease. No specialised tools are required beyond standard RC maintenance kit items.
Compared with more shallow ramps, the 60 degree segments delay firm engagement slightly and then provide a stronger on-power lock, which can improve traction but may require minor changes to ride height and shock settings for best balance.
