The XRAY 308029 ULP Progressive Aluminum Shock Set is built to refine a touring car's behaviour on asphalt circuits. Its progressive damping concept helps deliver more predictable traction and sharper steering for drivers focused on setup adjustments.
Instead of a conventional valve, the XRAY ULP design uses an insert with three triangular cuts that pairs with pistons that do not have holes. That geometry produces a damping curve that starts softer and becomes firmer as the piston moves, providing a controllable transition that reacts to varying loads and suspension travel.
Inserts are CNC-machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum for strength and lightness, then finished with a black coating for wear resistance. Pistons are carefully moulded and ground to ensure roundness and consistent operation, so the shocks stay repeatable over many runs.
These shocks are intended for asphalt use and can be fitted to both front and rear positions. They require pistons without holes to function as designed and use the same shock oil types you would run in standard dampers, making them simple to integrate into existing setups.
For hobbyists aiming for improved mid-corner grip and steadier turn-in on paved tracks, this shock set is a technical upgrade that helps fine-tune handling without complex changes.
