The XRAY 305309 ECS BB drive shafts are engineered to lift the handling of your 1/10 scale touring car by lowering internal friction and improving stability. Constructed from durable Hudy Spring Steel, these 53mm shafts suit open track layouts that reward smooth input and consistent cornering.
Unlike conventional blade-type driveshafts, the ECS BB (ball-bearing) configuration reduces sliding contact between the driveshaft and the outdrive. That reduced friction delivers a noticeably smoother feel when changing direction quickly, such as through chicanes, and helps maintain higher cornering speeds with improved mid-corner and on-power steering response.
At 53mm long, these drive shafts perform best on open, flowing circuits where stability through the middle of a turn and on-throttle steering out of the corner are priorities. They trade a little initial on-turn bite for better balance and drive under power.
Maintenance is simple: assemble like standard ECS drive shafts but add Hudy Joint Grease (106213) between the small bearings and the outdrives. That lubrication reduces wear and helps keep performance consistent over time.
