Fine-Tune X4 Handling with Adjustable Rear Shock Brackets

The XRAY 302973 X4 Rear Active Aluminium Shock Holder Set is a targeted upgrade for drivers aiming to sharpen handling. Made for the XRAY X4 series, the kit lets you dial shock placement with shims and drops the shocks by 4.5mm to lower roll center and boost mid-corner stability.

Tunable Dampening Options

The holders support both fixed and active dampening setups. The fixed position keeps the conventional mount for predictable behaviour, while the active mode lets the bracket pivot after removing an M3x8 screw. This pivot reduces rear dampening, increasing off-power steering and helping to control traction-induced roll on grippy surfaces.

Built from Swiss 7075 T6 Aluminum

Manufactured from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum with a black anodized finish, these holders balance strength and weight for racing use. The pair fits the rear of the XRAY X4 and provides a durable upgrade that also tidies up the rear end visually.

Using the active setting lets the bracket pivot, softening rear dampening. Expect more rotation and increased off-power steering, which helps when traction is high or when you want easier corner entry control.
Lowering the shocks reduces the center of gravity and can change roll characteristics; you may need minor setup tweaks like spring or sway bar adjustments to restore balance, but ride height and camber geometry remain easier to manage with standard XRAY X4 settings.
Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with basic shock maintenance. The holders replace the stock rear mounts and use existing hardware; keep the M3x8 screw accessible if you plan to flip between active and fixed modes.
