Why It Suits Low-to-Medium Grip Surfaces

This chassis is optimised for circuits with limited traction and is not recommended for extremely high grip surfaces. For very grippy conditions, consider the XRAY #301146 Aluminum Chassis instead. The flex characteristics of the 301147 add measurable traction that many racers use to trim lap times.

Can I run the 301147 on carpet or astro turf?

You can use it on low-to-medium grip carpet or turf, but on high-grip carpet the chassis may feel too lively. For high grip, the XRAY #301146 is a better match.

Does installation require special tools?

No special tools are needed; the chassis mounts to standard T4'18 points. Basic hex drivers and care with screw torque are all you need for a correct fit.
