Resilient steel bevel for TT02 drivetrains

This aftermarket steel large bevel gear is supplied as a 2 piece set and is made for use in Tamiya TT02 and TT02B chassis as a 1/10 scale drivetrain component. It replaces the stock bevel where a hardened steel option is chosen for longer service life.

Within a TT02 gearbox the large bevel gear transfers torque from the pinion and spur train into the differential and wheels; switching to steel alters durability and the mechanical feel of the drivetrain. When installing, follow standard TT02 disassembly steps, set correct mesh with the pinion gear, inspect bearings and mating parts, and apply suitable differential and gear lubrication before testing.

Use this pair for routine maintenance or modest durability upgrades, but keep in mind steel-to-plastic contact can increase wear on adjacent plastic parts if bearings or alignment are worn or incorrect.
