Heavy-duty spring steel links built for TRX4 trail use

This 7pcs link set upgrades the suspension tie rods on TRAXXAS TRX4 Trail Crawler scale models by replacing softer stock rods with spring steel components to improve durability and steering feedback. The links use increased diameter rods and adjustable, reverse-threaded ends for precise toe and wheelbase trimming suited to trail and crawler setups.

The kit is intended for scale RC use only and supports changes to steering sensitivity and wheelbase without modifying axle housings. Measured midpoint references are included to aid alignment: front upper 80.5mm, front lower 114.8mm, rear upper 139mm, rear lower 135.5mm. The tie rod diameter is upgraded from the factory 5mm to 6.5mm to reduce flex under load.

Specifications

  • Item: TRAXXAS TRX4 TRAIL CRAWLER Spring Steel Upper & Rear Suspension Links - 7pcs set
  • Material: Spring steel
  • Model Number: TRX4160ST

  • Tie rod midpoints: Front upper 80.5mm, Front lower 114.8mm, Rear upper 139mm, Rear lower 135.5mm
  • Tie rod diameter: Thickened to 6.5mm from original 5mm
  • Thread: Counter-clockwise reverse thread, adjustable length

Fit this set where stronger tie rods and fine length adjustment are required to tighten steering feel on TRX4 trail builds; installation follows stock link removal and replacement while matching midpoint lengths for correct geometry.

They are made for TRX4 Trail Crawler geometry; check the listed midpoint measurements against your variant before fitting to confirm fitment.
Standard hex drivers and pliers are enough; use thread-lock where you normally would and observe correct reverse-thread orientation during installation.
A larger diameter reduces tie rod flex so steering inputs feel firmer and toe settings stay more consistent under crawling loads.
The kit includes several stainless round head screws in mixed lengths for attachment; compare screw sizes to your chassis points before final assembly.
