This 1:72 scale Trumpeter 07293 plastic model recreates the German JagdTiger Sd.Kfz.186 on the Henschel chassis, with moulded Zimmerit texture and a tidy parts count aimed at display-scale modelling.
The JagdTiger began as a heavy tank-destroyer project in 1943, with a wooden mock-up shown in October 1943. Designed to provide long-range anti-armor support for infantry and armoured formations, two prototype variants were completed in February 1944 — one using Porsche suspension and one on the Henschel suspension with nine roadwheels. Initially designated Jagdpanzer VI, it later received the Sd.Kfz.186 number; production started in mid-1944 but was limited while Panther output took precedence.
The kit captures the JagdTiger exterior at 1:72 scale and presents the Zimmerit coating as moulded texture on hull panels. Assembly follows standard small-scale injection kit practice: parts are split across several sprues and the 94-piece count keeps the build manageable for modellers comfortable with sub-1:48 scales. Its compact footprint makes the finished model well suited to dioramas or tight display shelves.
Panel lines and cast surface textures are modelled to reflect the vehicle's heavy-armour look. At this scale the Zimmerit texture benefits from careful painting and preshading to bring out depth. Decals are supplied for Germany ARMY and the smaller part count helps minimise alignment issues common to dense small-scale armour kits.
A compact 1:72 representation of the Henschel-produced JagdTiger, this Trumpeter 07293 kit emphasises external detail and a manageable build for display-minded modellers and collectors.
