Trumpeter 07258 is a 1:72 scale plastic model kit representing the German Sturmgeschutz III Ausf. E, offered here as a compact tracked assault-gun subject suitable for display modelling and reference work.
The Sturmgeschutz III began as a purpose-built assault gun and later served in defensive and tank-destroyer roles as the conflict progressed. Early production ran from Ausf A through Ausf E, all fitted with the short 75mm StuK 37 L/24. Alkett handled manufacture of the early A-E series, with Ausf E production finishing in early 1942. These vehicles remained in frontline and support use until superseded by later designs.
This kit emphasises accurate external proportions for the Ausf. E silhouette and includes light grey injection-moulded plastic parts for hull and superstructure, plus full-length rubber-type tracks supplied as strip elements. Decals provide a single-colour German RLM 02 grey marking option. The parts count and dimensions make this a direct bench project for modellers used to small-scale armored kits.
A concise 1:72 interpretation of the early Sturmgeschutz III Ausf. E offering a tidy parts set and period marking for display models and reference builds.
