This 1:72 scale plastic model reproduces the Soviet KV heavy tank fitted with the distinctive oversized seven-sided "Big Turret" (Model 1939), assembled as a compact display model that emphasizes the tall turret profile.
The KV-2 was conceived as a heavy breakthrough vehicle to tackle fortified positions that standard 76.2 mm-armed KVs could not defeat. Its hallmark was the large turret housing a 152 mm M-10 howitzer, which delivered heavy high-explosive firepower against bunkers and fieldworks. The trade-off for that firepower was reduced mobility and a high silhouette that made the vehicle conspicuous in early World War II operations.
At 1:72 scale the kit captures the turret's towering silhouette and the hull's compact proportions. The design separates turret and hull volumes clearly, making masking and staged painting easier. Careful seam filling around the turret base and precise alignment of tracks and roadwheels are recommended to preserve the intended hull stance. Consultation of early-war reference photos will assist with authentic weathering, paint chips, and surface wear patterns.
A compact 1:72 representation of the KV Big Turret variant that highlights the high-profile turret and suits small-diorama display or focused reference collections.
