This 1:350 plastic model represents the Vought SB2U scout bomber as a compact carrier-based subject aimed at scale modellers and collectors. It is sized for small displays and works well in tight diorama scenes.
The Vought SB2U dates from the 1930s as a single-engine scout bomber used by the United States Navy. Introduced in the late 1930s, it performed scouting and light bombing duties from both carriers and shore bases during the prewar period and into the early stages of the Second World War. Its design illustrates the era's move to monoplane naval reconnaissance and light-attack aircraft.
The kit builds from six sprues with a total of 66 plastic parts and includes decals with US NAVY markings. Because the finished airframe is very small at this scale, careful seam cleanup and precise decal placement will improve display realism. Builders should plan standard painting and finishing steps to reproduce accurate surface appearance at 1:350.
A compact 1:350 SB2U offering a relatively straightforward assembly and period US Navy markings, ideal for small-scale displays and carrier deck dioramas.
