This 1:700 scale waterline plastic model represents the USS Quincy (CA-39) and is presented as a compact cruiser subject intended for focused display builds.
The New Orleans class were treaty-era heavy cruisers completed between the wars and employed widely during World War II. They displaced roughly 10,000 tons standard and over 12,000 tons at full load after wartime additions. The class underwent multiple refits to improve radar and anti-aircraft defenses and took part in major Pacific operations; surviving units accumulated numerous battle honors during the campaign against Japan.
The kit depicts the ship as a waterline cruiser in MS 12 Modified Camouflage and concentrates detail on external fittings and overall silhouette. Assembly uses conventional sub-assembly of hull halves, decks, and superstructure; sprues are organized across several frames and a dedicated waterline plate is included. A decal sheet provides markings for the subject ship as specified.
A compact 1:700 waterline cruiser kit suitable for modellers and collectors seeking a New Orleans class subject with simplified upper-hull assembly and display-ready presentation.
